Welcome to the Paper Submission System of the 2014 WFMT World Congress of Music Therapy (WCMT)!

For your convenience the submission deadline has been extended for a few days until Monday, September 30, 2013 (12:00 CET). Please note that papers can only be submitted online.

The topic of the 14th World Congress of Music Therapy is “Cultural Diversity in Music Therapy, Practice, Research, and Education.”

Papers consist of an Abstract (max. 50 words) and a Description (max. 300 words) and should be submitted under the following topics:

          • Practice
          • Research
          • Education/Training 

During the submission process, authors need to indicate their preferred presentation type (paper presentation, Poster, Round Table, Student Session, Workshop), the final decision regarding the presentation type will however be taken by the Scientific Committee.

Please note: Only one individual presentation/workshop per person is allowed. However, the same author may co-present other papers. An unlimited amount of posters per presenting author may be submitted.

Papers must be submitted in English. Please make sure that special characters and symbols are inserted correctly through the toolbar provided. Images and tables can also be inserted into the text using the provided toolbar.

Authors will be able to draft the papers online and may return to the site to edit the texts of the papers if necessary and if the submission has not been finalized yet. Authors are free to finalize their texts and submit their papers at any time before Monday, September 30, 2013 (12:00 CET). No changes can be made after this deadline.

Submission of a paper constitutes a commitment by the author to present at the congress if accepted.

The scientific committee of the 14th World Congress of Music Therapy will assess all submitted papers by blind reviewing. Papers will be approved according to their scientific merit.

Notification of acceptance and information regarding presentations will be forwarded to the presenting authors immediately after the reviewing process by e-mail (until January 10th 2014 at the latest). If a paper is accepted it is mandatory for the presenting author to attend the congress.

For a paper to be included in the final scientific program, it is mandatory for the presenting author to register for the congress and to settle payment as soon as the notification of paper acceptance is received and latest until the Early Bird Deadline.

Accepted papers will be published as they have been received in the official congress abstract supplement.
